Sam Ezell was born in Mebane, NC in 1953 and brought up in Durham. His profession, since 1971, has been performing general property maintenance in Hillsborough, NC.

Sam began to paint in 2008 at the request of his good friend and outsider artist, Bernice Sims. His folk art depicts memories of better times, and includes farm animals, school buses, renderings of historic homes, baseball, and the infamous coal mining industry – things reminiscent of early rural America, when life was simpler and people depended on the milk man leaving milk on the front porch.

We’re pleased to be able to offer some of Mr. Ezell’s charming work at Panorama Folk Art.
